COMMUNITY COACHES

THE MISSION

To cause a cessation of violence throughout the Myrtle Ave corridor of Brooklyn, New York by removing gang access to the adolescent, pre-teen, and teenage males of the N.Y.C.H.A. public houses within that corridor between Broadway and Jay Street.

To provide these youth with tools to develop decision-making skills to severe gang relations, interests, and to restore family values.

To present the neighborhood with a concept of change that will restore, strengthen, and support their interests for the cessation of domestic and community violence as a result of their community coaching

To alleviate the backlog of cases in New York City Family Courts by providing a day-time alternative placement and diversion strategy for adolescent, pre-teen, and teenage males. And to establish a long-term Family Remand Center.
